"We could never learn to be brave and patient if there were only joy in the world."

Hello! Today's tube placement went as perfect as possible! We arrived at Children's around 11:15 and pretty much waited around until 12:45 when the doctor showed up. Ruby got to go to surgery in the clothes she was in and they gave her gas to put her under, so no tubes or IV lines! The entire procedure took 30 minutes. The anesthesiologist took her out of my arms at 12:55 and she was placed back in them again at 1:25! I asked the ENT if he would mind tying off Ruby's skin tag while she was under anesthesia, figuring that it would be a good time to get it over with. He said that he would actually just snip it off and put a stitch in it! So, we got that taken care of too. Ruby was a little crabby right after the procedure and started to shake from the anesthesia, but they brought some warm blankets and I rocked her to sleep and we were out the door by 2. Very simple procedure! She was back to her happy, giggly self by 6 pm.
Thanks for all the wonderful prayers! I'd write more, but I'm just about ready to fall asleep on the keyboard!
Love you all!
