Hi! Well, as you can see from the above picture, Ruby got herself a highchair this weekend. I figured it was time to graduate from the bouncy chair to a highchair for feedings. Ruby really enjoyed her first time sitting in the chair and she loves that I can set toys right in front of her on the tray and she can pick which ones she wants to play with!

We had a nice, relaxing weekend. Lots of cuddling and playing together. I tried to take Ruby swimming on Saturday and Sunday, but both days the pool was closed for maintenance. Bummer. Hopefully we'll get a chance to go one more time before fall comes and we move out of this place. And we ARE moving! More details on that to come soon. Grandma and Grandpa came to hang out with us for a while yesterday. They just can't stay away from us! They needed their weekly Ruby fix!

This is a very busy week for us. Tomorrow Ruby will see her pediatrician for her pre-op physical and Wednesday she will see her orthopedist. She'll have a hip x-ray done when we get there and her orthopedist will read it and make recommendations from there on whether she needs to continue wearing the brace full-time. I'm really hoping that she can at least have it off for 8 hours a day, but I'm really pulling for nights only or about 8 hrs with the brace on per day. Then, Thursday, she will be having her tubes put in at 1, so we'll have to be at the hospital by 11:30. I have no idea how long that procedure will take, but it's a day surgery, so she'll be going home that afternoon.

I probably won't get a chance to update before Thursday, so please say a little prayer that Ruby does fine under anesthesia. I'm not worried about the actual surgery, but I'm always a little fearful about her going under. I'll update after the procedure. She's going to hear so well afterward! The girl will probably never sleep again!

Lots of love to all!
